BBC Radio 1's Future Festival—an event designed to reveal and showcase the hottest new acts of 2017—is returning on 1/17. The three-hour show, co-hosted by Radio 1's MistaJam and Huw Stephens, will include performances from Alma, The Amazons, The Big Moon, Dave, Declan McKenna, Jorja Smith, Nadia Rose and THEY.
The performances will be begin broadcasting live from BBC Maida Vale Studios at 7pm and end at 10pm. Ticket registration opened yesterday (1/10) and will close at 8pm tomorrow.
“Once again we've got some brilliant artists ready to play live for the Radio 1 listeners at the start of this year," Stephens declared. "With bands like The Big Moon and The Amazons who've been gigging hard for the last year to super talented emcees like Dave and Nadia Rose, it's going to be a great night. And all in the legendary BBC Maida Vale studios, unrivalled around the world!”
For perspective, previous Future Fest participants include The 1975, Sam Smith, George Ezra, A$AP Rocky, James Bay, Disclosure, Royal Blood and Stormzy.
Granted, if you're an avid HITS reader, you probably lack perspective.
