APPLE EXECS MAKE THEIR CASE
WITH JAMES CORDEN IN NEW SPOT

Perhaps it's becoming a tradition. During Sunday night's Emmy Awards, Apple Music debuted a commercial, this one featuring Late Late Show host James Corden.

With his enthusiasm cranked on high as always, the comedian starts by furiously pitching different ways for him to be in an Apple Music commercial. But it's actually who Corden was pitching to that becomes noteworthy— real life Apple Music executives Jimmy Iovine, Eddy Cue and Bozoma St. John, who shot down his myriad of fantastical ideas saying, "We just want to tell people all the ways that you can listen to Apple Music."

"Even offline! In a plane, in a car..." continues Cue.

"James, why don't we just tell them we have 40 million songs?" pleads Iovine.

The link is the first sign of the Corden-Apple connection: In July, Apple bought Corden’s unscripted series based on Carpool Karaoke, which it will distribute to 100 countries. Apple has licensed 16 episodes of the show; Corden will exec produce but not host.
