DRAKE JOINS BIEBER IN 100M CLUB

Drake has become the second act in U.K. chart history to cross the 100m streams milestone thanks to "One Dance" (Island). The feat follows Justin Bieber’s trio of record-breaking singles— "Sorry," "What Do You Mean" and "Love Yourself" (Virgin EMI)—gaining 100m streams earlier this year.

After three days on sale, “One Dance” hit #21 on the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart on 4/15, sliding to #1 a week later. It stayed there until Major Lazer’s “Cold Water” (Because Music) knocked it off on 7/29. The last time a track was #1 consecutively for so long in Blighty was Wet Wet Wet’s “Love Is All Around” (Mercury) in ’94.

The digital marketing masterminds at David Joseph's UMG U.K. thoroughly deserve a pint of lager and a packet of crisps.
