UPDATE: The Chainsmokers' "Closer" f/Halsey is #1 Most Added at Pop radio. Big ups to the Columbia promo geniuses.
Disruptor/Columbia’s The Chainsmokers have summited the iTunes singles chart with “Closer” featuring Halsey, which is also vying for #1 Most Added status at Top 40 radio (and is the second-biggest gainer on the new Shazam USA chart). Following on the heels of smash “Don’t Let Me Down,” the success of “Closer” is further evidence of the group’s blossoming; they are formidable contenders for a Best New Artist Grammy nod. Columbia’s Rob Stringer, Joel Klaiman, Lee Leipsner and team are chain-smoking joints in celebration.
