A ROSE FOR
PRIMARY WAVE

Primary Wave Entertainment has formed a strategic alliance with Barbara Rose Entertainment, according to a 7/28 announcement. Rose joins the firm with the job title of Partner/Talent Management: Music; she’ll be based in the company’s L.A. office. The experienced and knowledgeable creative exec will focus on expanding Primary Wave’s artist roster and will collaborate in all areas of the company’s operations.

In a joint statement, Primary Wave co-CEO’s Larry Mestel and David Guillod said, “We’re thrilled to have Barbara join the Primary Wave team. With her years of experience and incredible reputation, we know this will be a long relationship. We look forward to working with her to bring our talent management’s music division to the next level.”

For her part, Rose observed that “This strategic alliance will harness our respective talents and experience and provide an enviable, seamless vehicle for talent management across the music spectrum.”

Rose’s management prowess has earned her a reputation for being innovative and tenacious on behalf of her clients. She’s worldwide concert tours and recordings, as well as negotiating publishing and book deals. A 2007 Emmy nominee as producer on A Tribute to James Taylor (PBS Great Performances), Rose has been instrumental in finalizing a deal which will bring Alanis Morissette’s Jagged Little Pill – The Musical to the stage. She also serves on the Grant Review Committee for MusiCares Foundation.
