TAG, THEY'RE IT: SHAZAM'S BIGGEST MOVERS

The glory of film and TV placements is evident in four of the tracks on this week’s Shazam USA Biggest Movers. L.P. had a nicely timed placement on Netflix’s Orange is the New Black as the season finale included her “Muddy Waters,” which rises 160 slots to #41.

“Muddy Waters,” which was released as a single in September, benefited with the sync coinciding with the 6/17 release of her five-track EP Death Valley on Vagrant.

Twenty One Pilots enjoy an 84-slot jump as “Heathens” gets airplay as the first single from the Suicide Squad soundtrack. And Sia’s cover of the Nat and Natalie Cole hit “Unforgettable” is the end credits song in Disney/Pixar’s Nemo sequel Finding Dory, which crushed box office records in its first two weeks of release and is now up to $286m in the States. The Honda commercial featuring Empire of the Sun’s “Walking on a Dream” shows no signs of running out of gas.

In the U.K., Dizzee Rascal’s “Hype” enjoys 168 slot leap to #1 on the Shazam U.K. Biggest Movers Chart. Brits are showing an affinity for L.P. as well: “Muddy Waters” spiked 149 places to land at #3.
