The Rolling Stones' acclaimed museum-esque exhibit, Exhibitionism, opened at the Saatchi Gallery in London on 4/5 and will run through 9/4. However, it was recently announced that the classic rock buff's paradise will come to NYC's Industria Superstudio in November. Talk about a holiday treat.
Tickets will go on sale to the public in September. Register here to get more info as it arrives.
The inaugural exhibit included nine galleries with 500+ original artifacts, spanning everything from photos, rare footage, lyric books and other memorabilia to 90 original costumes. One can expect Manhattan's take on Exhibitionism to be bigger and bolder, though. It's being billed as the next stop in "the largest touring experience of its kind ever to be staged." So, where will the boys set sail for next? Time will tell, but for now we'll continue to salivate over the premier stateside option.
“We've been thinking about this for quite a long time but we wanted it to be just right and on a large scale,” said Mick. “It’s not going to be like walking into a museum. It’s going to be an event, an experience. It’s about a sense of The Rolling Stones – it’s something we want people to go away talking about it.”
