L.A. SUPERGROUP: FLEA, SLASH, MORELLO & GREENSPAN

Sunday’s edition of the L.A. Times ran a feature bearing the self-explanatory headline, “Summer scene gets a jolt of L.A.'s rock legacy with Guns N' Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Prophets of Rage.” As writer Mikael Wood points out, GNR and the rejiggered Rage Against the Machine are hitting the road later this month, while the Peppers are releasing the Danger Mouse-produced The Getaway next Friday (6/17).

The three veteran L.A. bands have something in common besides their intertwined roots and current heightened visibility—they’ve all been repped for eons by legal eagle Eric Greenspan, who’s something of an L.A. rock legend himself. But please don’t hit him up for comp tickets to Guns N’ Roses’ Dodger Stadium dates in August; that would be extremely untoward.
