SINATRA SAGA STAGE BOUND

Start spreading the news: A Sinatra musical is stage-bound.

The Ambassador Theatre Group will produce the musical in partnership with film producer Stewart Till and Frank Sinatra Enterprises. Script development for the Sinatra musical, which will be based on his life, is planned to start shortly. The team is eyeing a 2018 opening.

The team missed Ol’ Blue Eyes' centennial—he would have turned 100 last December. Music for the show will come from the hundreds of hits he registered from the 1930s through the ‘70s.

The British husband-wife team of Howard Panter and Rosemary Squire run the London-based Ambassador Theatre Group, which operates 45 venues in England, the U.S. and Australia.
