“True Colors” (Interscope/Kemosabe/RCA) by Zedd & Kesha is the latter’s first new music in a while (“a triumphant return,” declared Rolling Stone), and it’s already having an impact at retail; as of this writing it’s #18 on the iTunes singles chart. The song was co-written and produced by Rock Mafia (Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato), who are also behind the forthcoming Gomez single “Kill ’Em With Kindness.” The song’s impressive sales are a nice birthday present for Rock Mafia’s Antonina Armato.
