Meghan Trainor’s “No” is this week’s breaking track in the U.K., and looks set to crack the Official Singles Top 10 on Friday after rising nine places on the Radiomonitor charts and sitting at #7 on the iTunes singles chart.
Released via Colin Barlow’s Sony U.K. imprint RCA in Britain, “No” has been on a steady climb on the Official Charts since its 4/2 release, moving #59-48-42-30-23-11, and tops this week's Official Trending Chart. The track is sitting at #12 this rolling week on the Radiomonitor charts with plays up 20% to 3,188, thanks to playlist spots on BBC Radio 1’s A List and Capital FM.
On Friday, “No” is likely to become Trainor’s fourth Top 10 hit following “All About That Bass” (#1), “Lips Are Movin’" (#2) and her guest feature on Charlie Puth's chart-topping “Marvin Gaye.”
Trainor’s presence in Blighty has been on an upwards trajectory over the last few months, culminating in an appearance on The Graham Norton Show and The Voice last week. Her debut album Thank You is out on 5/13, and will be going up against the first album from homegrown talent Corinne Bailey Rae in six years, The Heart Speaks in Whispers (Virgin EMI).
