BARNETT WEIGHS IN ON THOMPSON'S EXIT

Capitol Music Group chief Steve Barnett issued this message to his troops about Greg Thompson's newly announced post at Maverick.

Hello everyone,

You’ve probably seen the news today that Greg Thompson has accepted a position with Maverick Management. I wanted to take this opportunity not only to publicly congratulate Greg, but to thank him for the contributions he’s made toward our company’s revitalization these past several years. He’s been a valued member of our team, and we’ve all shared a lot of success together.

When Lucian and I made the decision to move CMG’s headquarters back to the Tower from New York in 2012, Greg and his family showed great faith in our plan by moving to Los Angeles and sharing in our efforts to make Capitol the preeminent label on the West Coast. That was a big decision for the Thompson family, and I will always be grateful to them for making that cross-country move.

Greg will remain in his post until June 1st and will always be our friend.

Sincerely,

Steve
