REPUBLIC'S GRAMMY GATHERING: THE FAB & THE FOXY

At Republic's Grammy party, surely the most ethos-tastic in the land, freshly sworn-in President Charlie Walk greets multiple trophy winner The Weeknd. Two hours later, Walk's team got a tray of hors d'oeuvres to Top 5 at Pop, Rhythm and Hot AC.

The brothers Lipman, Big Machine's Scott Borchetta and David Nathan and Album of the Year-winning megastar Taylor Swift enjoy an idyllic moment shortly before Kanye West bum-rushed the photo op wearing Swift's exact outfit.

Republic co-founders Monte and Avery Lipman flank troubadour James Bay, whose Grammy performance prompted big sales, Shazams and more. In Bay's honor, John Varvatos is making a big hat.

UMG topper Lucian Grainge and Republic ruler Monte Lipman join Grammy nominee, crooner and media maven Seth McFarlane, who suddenly got an idea for two new cartoon characters, and then pre-emptively served himself with a cease-and-desist order.

"And then, around 2am, Cyd Charisse jumps iin the pool with a flask of absinthe," recalls the legendary Tony Bennett to UMG EVP Michele Anthony. "By then the Mormon Tabernacle Choir were all in the water, naked as jaybirds, when—oh, we're doing a picture now? Outstanding."
