ZAYN VS. RIRI: UPDATE

Two weeks after they both burst onto the marketplace, how are Westbury Road/Roc Nation’s Rihanna and RCA’s ZAYN doing?

RiRi’s “Work” f/Drake has moved back up to #2 at iTunes, following on strong airplay at Pop (where it’s Top 20 on the Mediabase building chart) as well as Rhythm and Urban (where it’s trending well into theTop 10) and is now streaming at Spotify, Apple Music and other services. The song finishes the week down 28% with 112k.

Her full-length, ANTI, meanwhile, also became widely available for streaming and sits at #5 at iTunes; in its second week on sale—and first week at physical—it ends down about 76% with sales in the neighborhood of 24k.

ZAYN’s single, “PILLOWTALK” remains #5 on the iTunes singles chart, where it will end the week down about 66% with approximately 81k. It is currently #1 on the U.S., U.K. and Global Spotify charts. The single, which exploded onto Pop radio, is also trending Top 20 and is set to debut at Rhythm.
