Coming after two AMAs, a BET Award, a People’s Choice Award and seven Grammy nominations, The Weekend has added two more notches on his awards bedpost—noms for an Oscar and a BRIT.
With the latter he’s up for International Male Solo Artist alongside Drake, Father John Misty, Justin Bieber and Kendrick Lamar.
His track for Fifty Shades of Grey, “Earned It,” meanwhile, secured him an Academy nom along with co-writers Ahmad Balshe, Jason Daheala Quennevhlle and Stephan Moccio. He’ll get the Grammy results on 2/15, the Oscars on 2/28. By early March we expect him to need new shelves.
