AND I WILL TELL EVERYBODY THAT THIS IS MY SONG

Has a purge of Elton John's team been spearheaded by his hubby, David Furnish, who has taken over as manager?

According to the U.K.'s Daily Mail, most of the trusted professionals who've overseen Sir Elton's professional and personal life have been given the heave-ho over the last few years—ostensibly at Furnish's instigation—including his longtime valet, manager John Reid, attorney and ex-Rocket Music head Frank Presland and his Rocket U.S. Chairman Johnny Barbis, manager Todd Interland and longtime PR specialist Gary Farrow, among others.

It's also alleged that Furnish has poisoned the music great's relationship with his 90-year-old mother.

The Mail argues Furnish "wants to promote Elton's future career," and further notes his admiration for Yoko Ono.

The superstar's next album, Wonderful Crazy Night, is due in March.
