THE BEATLES STREAM BACK TO DOMINANCE

Since the bow, on 12/24, of the bulk of The Beatles' catalog—13 remastered studio albums and four compilations in all—on all major streaming services, the Fabs have once again taken control of the music scene. The band's matchless body of work has dominated Spotify, Apple and other streameries since then.

The news arrived in our mailbox while we were sleeping, datelined London. It read...

On December 24 at 12:01am local time—here, there and everywhere—The Beatles’ music is available for streaming worldwide … Track The Beatles streaming launch around the world, from east to west, on thebeatles.com.

Happy Crimble, with love from us to you.

Apple Corps and Universal Music opted not to do an exclusive deal with one partner and instead made the music available to nine services: Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer, Tidal, Amazon Prime, Google Play, Microsoft’s Groove, Slacker and Rhapsody.

The deal also includes access for the non-subscriber tiers of Spotify and Deezer.

The last major commercial offering was back in 2010, when the Fabs' music hit iTunes for download, selling upward of 450k albums and 2m singles in the first week. Now they'll go head-to-head with modern-day artists such as Justin Bieber, currently the reigning champion on Spotify with about 31m streams a week.
