ADELE DROPS EURO TOUR DATES

Adele will be facing her fear of touring head on in 2016 after announcing an extensive 36-date arena tour throughout Europe. It’s the XL/Columbia singer’s first tour in four years and comes after plenty of speculation about live plans for the singer’s record-smashing new album, 25.

20 arenas will be visited during February - June next year, all ranging from 10-45k in capacity, including four dates at London's O2 Arena (20k cap.). Rumours surfaced this week suggesting Adele will be playing Glastonbury next year. With her tour ending on 4/13, and the festival taking place from June 22 - 26, that’s starting to look like a real possibility.

Adele’s last tour, a 51-date worldwide trek in 2011, was cut short due to vocal problems. The new dates are a big step up from the size of venues she’s visited before, which were much smaller academies, theatres and concert halls. Judging by the groundbreaking success of 25, which has already smashed first-week sales of over 3m in the U.S., and over 737k in the U.K., filling the arenas won’t be a problem.

Advance sale tickets for all dates in Blighty will be exclusively available to all members of adele.com on 12/1. General tickets go on sale three days later on 12/4, when tickets for the Europe dates will be available too. The Barcelona date goes on sale one day earlier.
