PLATINUM BLONDE IN PRIME TIME

DVR alert: Elle King—who’s helpfully described in an RCA press release as a “Pop, blues, and rock’n’roll singer”—will perform tonight on the season finale of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars. She will of course sing her crossover smash “Ex’s & Oh’s,” which the RIAA has just certified platinum. The single has topped the Alternative, AAA and Hot AC radio charts and broke into the Pop Top 10 last week. King recently returned from a U.K. tour with James Bay that included a sold-out three-night run at London’s Brixton Academy. She’s on the handicappers’ short list for a Best New Artist Grammy nom.
