ADELSON'S ETHOS UPPED AS
REPUBLIC SVP A&R

Republic's Ben Adelson has been upped to the post of SVP A&R, it was announced by EVP Rob Stevenson and Co-Founder/Prexy Avery Lipman.

Adelson's signing and development projects include James Bay, Dawin and The Score, among others. He joined the label in 2007 and served as Avery Lipman's assistant until 2009. After a brief tenure at Epic he returned to the label and in 2013 ascended to the post of VP of A&R.

"Ben has become not only a leader within our department, but for the industry at large," declared Stevenson. "He continues to champion and break innovative artists who will shape the sound of the future. It's an honor to work with him."

"Ben started out as an intern here," noted Avery Lipman, "and he's grown into one of the most respected executives in the music industry. It's been incredible watching his evolution."

Adelson, noting that he "grew up in this ecosystem," thanked Avery, Monte and Rob for their support and expressed confidence that the added "S" in his title would further enhance his A&R powers.
