Evan Harrison is taking over as CEO of music festival producer Huka Entertainment, as founder A.J. Niland steps into the roles of Chairman and Chief Experience Officer.
Harrison, who previously served at Univision, Clear Channel, BMG and AOL, among other firms, will oversee the day-to-day operations of the company. Niland will focus on creating new events for Huka, best known for the Pemberton Music Festival in British Columbia, Hangout Music Festival in Gulf Shores, Ala., and the Tortuga Music Festival in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
Harrison, hailed by Niland as “an operator with a proven track record,” says the next phase of growth includes establishing more festivals, growing the touring business and helping expose music fans to new artists.
