BMG announced this morning that it has acquired the recorded music and music publishing businesses of Steve Greenberg’s S-Curve. The company’s current team will continue to run S-Curve as a standalone label within BMG.
S-Curve’s distribution deal with UMG and its promotion deal with Hollywood for Andy Grammer’s breakout record are not affected, and S-Curve’s equity in technology companies is not included in the deal.
Greenberg founded S-Curve in 2000; the label scored hits with the Baha Men,
Joss Stone and Fountains of Wayne, among other acts, and most recently with Grammer's smash "Honey, I'm Good."
Stay tuned for updates.
