Pharrell Williams has announced that he will debut a new NERD track called "Locked Away," on his Beats 1 show OTHERtone, airing this Sunday. Williams will be joined by in-studio guest Tyler the Creator and his regular co-host, music supervisor Scott Vener.
Beats 1 is increasingly becoming an incubator for exclusive music, as nearly every artist who has a regular program on the station taking keen advantage of the global platform to launch new material; most notably Dr. Dre unveiling the companion piece Compton on The Pharmacy and Drake answering his haters with multiple battle records via OVO Sound.
This isn't the first NERD track we've heard however— the group premiered a new song called "Squeeze Me" on the soundtrack of The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water earlier this year.
It's all best enjoyed while staring at a framed picture of Carl Sagan and sipping on some Pedialyte.
