BRIAN'S SONGS

The soundtrack to Love & Mercy—one of the best films of 2015, and as accurate a depiction of the musical creative process as we’re likely to get—will be digitally released tomorrow (8/14) on Capitol, longtime label of Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys. Atticus Ross (The Social Network) composed the score for Bill Pohlad’s acclaimed Brian biopic (from Lionsgate/Roadside Attractions/River Road), and his striking sound collages are on the album, along with the requisite Beach Boys and Wilson classics, Paul Dano’s stunning performance of “God Only Knows” and “One Kind of Love,” written and recorded by Brian for the movie.
