SYCO/Columbia's One Direction set the web ablaze last night when they dropped brand new single, "Drag Me Down," which is now #1 at iTunes. The announcement was first made by band member Liam Payne via Twitter, who described it as a "bit of a surprise."
Meanwhile, pubescents around the globe could be heard sharing different iterations of the following: "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!"

The pop force recently took a hit when they lost Zayn Malik, who decided to embark on a solo career and ink a fresh deal with RCA. 1D is showing no signs of slowing down, though. Along with releasing of "Down," the boys are currently performing across North America on their On The Road Again Tour, and their fifth studio album is due this November.
