JOLLY GOOD SHOW: THE 60TH IVORS
The nominations for this year's prestigious Ivor Novello Awards, honoring British and Irish songwriting and composing, have been announced.
Presented by BASCA in association with PRS for Music, the event will take place 5/21 at Grosvenor House, London.
In their 60th year, Sam Smith, Clean Bandit and Hozier are among the heavies in consideration. Perhaps the big pre-show winner is James Napier, though, who has writing credit on both "Stay With Me" and "Rather Be." Thusly, he earned the most nods with three.
Have a look at the full list below. On 5/21 BASCA will also present eight awards to songwriters and composers to recognize their contribution to British music, including Lifetime Achievement, Outstanding Song Collection and Songwriter of the Year.
