Rihanna's Three-Way Bumping Up Against

Brits these days love their hits collections as much as fish and chips. Various Artists occupy half of the Top 10 on this, the last Friday of January, including #1 and #2, while the NOW franchise double-dips. The only new album from a single artist is Atlantic’s Rae Morris, whose first full-length, produced by Yank Ariel Rechtshaid, debuted this week. Epic’s Meghan Trainor and RCA’s Mark Ronson, bother released earlier this month, are showing staying power.

Ronson’s massive transatlantic chart-topper “Uptown Funk” is facing a challenge from Rihanna’s debuting collab with Yeezy and Sir Paul. Interscope’s Fergie and Capitol’s Karen Harding (whose “Say Something” is not a cover of A Great Big World’s smash) are the newcomers on the singles big board. “Elastic” from Monkey Puzzle/RCA’s Sia is hovering at #11.
