EARNING HER TITLE (UPDATE)

UPDATE: Title, Meghan Trainor's hotly anticipated full-length (in its 15-track deluxe version) jumped to #1 at iTunes as soon as its preorder ended at midnight EST; the 11-track standard edition flew to #4. (1/13a)

Meghan Trainor's Title (Epic), streeting this week, is headed for a #1 bow on next week's HITS Album Sales Chart and SPS (Sales Plus Streaming) Chart. The blowout success of first single "All About That Bass" and the huge development on follow-up "Lips Are Movin"—as well as Trainor's growing familiarity with audiences as an artist—have contributed to solid preorder numbers; current forecasts put her first-week sales in excess of 150k, with indicators suggesting further growth. Title is now #10 at iTunes. Fittingly, she'll grace the cover of this week's print edition.
