Slash to EMI

SLASH SET TO BURN: Slash’s first solo album, modestly titled Slash, will come out in April on Dominic Pandiscia’s EMI Music Services label. The album features an all-star roster of guest musicians including Ian Astbury, Chris Cornell, Rocco DeLuca, Fergie, Dave Grohl, Myles Kennedy, Kid Rock, Lemmy Kilmeister, Maroon 5’s Adam Levine, Duff McKagan, Avenged Sevenfold’s M. Shadows, Ozzy Osbourne, Iggy Pop and Wolfmother’s Andrew Stockda le, along with a rhythm section featuring Jane’s Addiction’s Chris Chaney and drummer Josh Freese. What, no Axl Rose? In addition, Slash is teaming with the Guitar Center for an unsigned band competition to win the opportunity to record a three-song EP with producer Mike Clink, and have the guitarist write, record and perform on the single.
