ALMOST ALICE is the title of a 16-track musical “companion piece” to Tim Burton’s upcoming Alice in Wonderland. The Buena Vista album, streeting March 2 (three day’s before the movie’s release), along with the Danny Elfman score, contains 15 original songs by the likes of Mark Hoppus with Pete Wentz, Shinedown, 3OH!3, Franz Ferdinand, the All-American Rejects, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals (covering the Jefferson Airplane’s “White Rabbit”) and Avril Lavigne’s end-credit song “Alice (Underground).” The remaining track is “Very Good Advice,” performed by The Cure's Robert Smith, singing the song from the original 1951 animated Disney classic.
