THE PROMISED LAND: It was also a year ago that Ticketmaster took a major PR hit at the worst possible time—just after announcing plans to merge with Live Nation—as an estimated 1,000 irate Bruce Springsteen fans paid for nonexistent tickets for a May concert at DC’s Verizon Center listed on aftermarket site TicketsNow.com. According to a story in the Wall Street Journal, the FTC is about to announce a settlement with what is now Live Nation Entertainment. Thursday's anticipated settlement is expected to apply to any complaints still outstanding. (2/18a)
