BROKERS CAN’T GET A BREAK: In his own follow-up story, the Wall Street Journal’s Ethan Smith reported that people in the concert business told him the changes agreed to give Live Nation an advantage over online brokers. The changes will require resale sites like TM’s own TicketsNow.com to ensure that sellers disclose whether they actually have the tickets they’re offering for sale. Professional ticket scalpers said the new rules could hinder their ability to compete, since they routinely offer tickets they don't yet have to keep from being stuck with unsold inventory. (2/19a)
