Our heavy hearts and sincere condolences go out to the family and many friends of Ricky Leigh Mensh, who passed away last night at his home in Florida. Ricky was 50. As the longtime Mix Show Editor at HITS, Ricky brought a passion, energy and intensity to everything he did. From his DJ conference calls, to the columns he wrote in his “uniquely Ricky” language, which he dubbed "Hebonics" --Ricky Leigh didn't just cover the Mix Show universe, he helped define it. Ricky lived a life as large as his personality. You knew when he was in the office. Ricky's time here coincided with some very good times in the music industry, and no one embraced everything it had to offer more than he did. Ricky Leigh was a force of nature who loved what he did, and the people he did it with. We will miss him massively. Funeral will be held Tuesday March 16 at 11:00 AM at Danzansky and Goldberg Funeral Home in Rockville, MD. (3/15p)
