BERTIE EYEING EMI? Turns out there’s a Bertelsmann connection in the bidding for EMI Music, according to a report in the Times of London. The German media conglom had previously teamed with private equity company Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, forming a joint venture last July to own and manage publishing rights, which could mean the two want to bid on that part of EMI Music. Both Warner Music Group and KKR have been mentioned in the mix for EMI Music if and when Terra Firma’s loan from Citigroup to originally acquire the company comes due at the end of the month. (3/17p)
