Martell Family Day

FOR KIDS IN NEED: UTA head of music Rob Prinz is the honoree of the T.J. Martell Foundation’s “L.A. Family Day,” which takes place on the afternoon of Sunday, May 2, at the CBS Studios backlot on Radford in Studio city. “I was stunned and, at first, selfishly reluctant (don’t like the spotlight) but have agreed to do so with hopes of helping others,” Rob wrote in an email. “After my personal confrontation with cancer in 2008, I feel that by taking part I/we may be able in some way to help ease the pain that others are facing now and in the future, especially children. The majority of the proceeds will go to Children’s Hospital L.A., to continue their groundbreaking research on pediatric cancer. Please donate if you can and join us if you are able.” We second that emotion. (3/30a)
