Post Page Six follows up last week’s Peter Lauria story in The Daily Beast over the alleged jockeying for power between RCA/Jive’s Barry Weiss and Columbia/Epic’s Rob Stringer as the successor to Sony Music head Rolf Schmidt-Holtz. The article today says the rivalry now includes Weiss guy COO Ivan Gavin and Stringer’s "right-hand man," Columbia chief Steve Barnett, claiming the two “nearly came to blows” at the recent label Grammy party.
