Abdul's Return?

HERE COMES DA JUDGE: Paula Abdul will return to the judges table as part of a new primetime talent competition series on CBS, Got to Dance, produced by Shine Group/Reveille, based on a hit U.K. show. The competition is billed as TV’s first “all-ages, all-genres dance series… from ballroom to break dance, bhangra to ballet, and tap to tango." Since announcing on Twitter she was leaving American Idol after eight years, Abdul has reportedly received offers from ABC to join the panel on Dancing with the Stars, while Fox supposedly wanted her for Simon Cowell's singing competition show The X Factor, which debuts in the U.S. next year. CBS plans Got to Dance as a midseason replacement in 2011, which would pit Abdul head-to-head with a Cowell-less Idol. (5/25a)
