SISTERS DOING IT FOR THEMSELVES: Downtown Records’ Scissor Sisters album, Night Work, scored the band’s highest-ever U.S. chart debut by entering at #18, with 18k in sales. Nice work by promo guru Mike Bergin and his Downtown team. The New York band, who are stars in the U.K., begin a North American tour August 21 in Atlanta, with dates at N.Y.’s Terminal 5 (8/24) and L.A.’s Hollywood Palladium (9/11). (7/7p)
