Linkin Park's Medal of Honor

LINKIN PARKS AT EA: Linkin Park will debut the first single, “The Catalyst,” from their new album, A Thousand Suns, on a trailer for the Electronic Arts military game Medal of Honor directed by the group’s Joe Hahn. The album comes out Sept. 14, but you can preview the song on www.medalofhonor.com/linkinpark. The trailer is a revolutionary mix of live footage and modern military action from the game, which comes out Oct. 12 in the U.S. The song will be released exclusively on Aug. 1 on the Medal of Honor website, one day before the song goes to radio and iTunes. “Medal of Honor marks the beginning of an innovative new relationship between EA and Linkin Park,” said the company's worldwide exec for music and music marketing Steve Schnur. “The combination of this new song and Joe Hahn’s distinctive visual dynamic re-sets the bar in our commitment to bringing together landmark EA games with artists whose talents go far beyond music.” (7/27p)
