Trent Reznor's Year Zero on HBO

REZNOR’S EDGE: Nine Inch NailsTrent Reznor is developing a science-fiction miniseries based on his album Year Zero in conjunction with HBO and BBC America. The miniseries will be produced by Lawrence Bender, producer of several Quentin Tarantino films, and Kelly Brown, executive producer of the TV series Roswell. Daniel Knauf, writer on the HBO series Carnivale, is penning the script. NiN’s Year Zero, released in 2007, is a dystopian sci-fi concept album set in 2022. Reznor said on the band’s website that the story deals with "erosion of freedoms" and "the way that we [U.S.] treat the rest of the world and our own citizens." Sounds like fun. (9/28p)
