Social Network's "Creepy" Trailer

SOCIAL STUDIES: David Fincher’s ecstatically reviewed Facebook movie, The Social Network, easily topped the box office charts this week with $23 million, capturing the early season Oscar buzz. Even more impressive, the movie’s trailer has garnered over 1.1 million views on YouTube, fueled by the ghostly, insinuating cover of Radiohead’s “Creep" which accompanies it. The song is performed by the 200-person Belgian girls’ choir Scala under the direction of brother/composers pianist Steve and conductor Stijn Kolacny. Thanks to the exposure, the group has been signed to Atco/Rhino by newly anointed President/CEO Kevin Gore. Scala and the Kolacny Brothers have been creating classical choral versions of rock songs since 2001. (10/4a)
