Public Enemy's Fan Fund-Raising

A NATION OF 75 THOUSAND: Noted rap group Public Enemy has reached its $75k fundraising goal on fan-financed recordings service Sellaband, Music Ally reports. The group had abandoned a previous goal of $250k, after fundraising petered out at around $70k. "We've had explosive starts, media attention, corporate troubles, media criticism, recalculations and finally resurgence," the band wrote. "When it’s all said and done, the bottom line is that we never lost faith in ourselves, our fans and the future of fan funding as a model. Take that, Tommy Motolla!" (11/1p)
