Bill Scull R.I.P.

WILLIAM STANLEY “BILL” SCULL, 64, longtime promotion exec, has passed away. Scull began his industry career at the Polydor label, promoting James Brown, then joined Clive Davis' Arista Records, where he helped launch Barry Manilow’s career, before forming indie firm Tri-State Promotions and Marketing in 1978. He is survived by his five daughters, Amy, Beth (Richard) Martin and their mother Dorothy, as well as Katie, Lauren, Maggie and their mother Barbara. The lifelong Cincinnati resident will be memorialized on Saturday, Nov. 27 at the Carnegie Center of Columbia Tusculum at 3738 Eastern Ave. from 4-7 p.m. Memorials may be given to Hospice of Cincinnati or the Down Syndrome Association of Cincinnati.
