Seacrest Renewed at Clear Channel

SEACREST…IN: Ryan Seacrest has inked a three-year $60 million deal with Clear Channel to remain as KIIS L.A.’s morning man as well as continuing to helm his nationally syndicated On Air show and host the weekly American Top 40. There was talk Seacrest was looking to cut back his commitment to the radio chain with his old contract, worth $35 million, set to run out at the end of the year. The new deal will allow Seacrest to develop new radio content for syndication via both traditional and digital media, and will also explore the creation of a record label, music publishing company and live concert series. The agreement gives the American Idol host control over advertising sales and an ability to incorporate his own marketing partners into the programming. (11/30a)
