BIG HATS IN SIN CITY: Another week, another country awards show—but this one, the first annual American Country Awards aired from Vegas rather than Nashville, and the trophies presented to the winners were Fender Telecasters. Carrie Underwood, who’s without question, walked out with six of them thar gee-tars (presumably she had help carrying them to her limo), including her second Artist of the Year award of 2010 (she got one back in April at the ACMs). Lady Antebellum got four and Easton Corbin wound up with three, including Breakthrough Artist of the Year. The winners were determined by fan voting, and it appears Underwood’s fan base has become thoroughly accustomed to logging votes for the most successful American Idol alumna. Her Play On won for Album, while Lady A’s "Need You Now" got Single, while the trio was voted Group of the Year. Brad Paisley came out on top in the Male Artist category. (12/7a)
