NOT A SECOND TIME: Don’t look now, but earlier this week, Guy Hands confirmed rumors that he’s interested in buying back EMI, even intimating that he’s already made a bid, Bloomberg reported. “It’s a question of price,” Hands said during a speech in Guernsey, where he lives in tax exile. “Terra Firma and Citigroup agreed on what EMI was worth back in 2007. We clearly both got it wrong. Now, we disagree quite strongly about what it’s worth. They are going to auction it, and we will see if they can get more for it than we offered.” Such an outcome would, of course, be the worst nightmare of every EMI executive and employee. (2/11a)
