Adele Exploding

ADELE ROLLING: Score one for Steve Barnett’s Team Columbia, as Adele’s 21, which hits U.S. retail today, has pre-orders totaling nearly 60k over multiple accounts. Add in strong out-of-the-gate sales with huge digital numbers and early indications suggest it will sell around 225-250k, a lock for #1 next week. This is in addition to the Brit Awards-fueled sales explosion in the U.K., which has landed the pop diva with two in the Top 5 on the albums and singles chart, the first since the Beatles to do so.
