Holt to Exit MySpace

HOLT LEAVES EMPTY SPACE: MySpace Music President Courtney Holt is leaving. The transition will take place after SXSW and be complete by June. Holt will remain as a consultant/advisor to both MySpace and News Corp, and remain on the board. Holt reportedly initiated the departure, unhappy with the direction taken by MySpace CEO Mike Jones, who will assume oversight of the music unit, while SVP Sam Wick will take over marketing. It is not yet clear if Holt, who came to the company from MTV, will be replaced. (2/24p)
