Aretha and Clive

WONDER WHO PICKED UP THE CHECK: Legendary Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin, apparently fully recovered from her recent surgery, hangs with the equally legendary music mogul Clive Davis after dinner at Le Bernardin in New York City last night shortly after trying to figure out 15% of $1,956. Franklin will reportedly be celebrating her 69th birthday this evening with a gala bash at an undisclosed luxury hotel we weren’t invited to. Her forthcoming album, Aretha: A Woman Falling Out of Love, is scheduled for release May 3, and she will head out on tour later that month. (3/25p)
