Add Baby It's You

GOING WITH THE FLO: Leave it to our nosy pal Roger Friedman to cover the most important aspect of opening night—who showed up— in his latest Showbiz 411 column. Producer Richard Perry, who handled the show’s music and sound, and is in the midst of recording the score album, “was accompanied by Jane Fonda and Clive Davis, for whom Perry makes all those best-selling Rod Stewart albums. Lots of folks from the record biz turned up, too, including Barry Weiss." Roger might have added the name of another attendee, former Time Warner CEO Richard Parsons, , in the list of record execs. Parsons is temporarily in the record biz as a top exec at Citigroup, which is about to unload EMI. By the way, Friedman dismissed the pans, calling the show “a crowd pleaser” and “a singalong hit. Beth Leavel, playing Florence, a New Jersey housewife who was a pioneer in rock, is sensational.” (4/28a)
